Is it my…website?

Thursday 19th November 7–8pm (UK time), online, £7.

Live online workshop

You know something’s not working, so you start wondering. Should I be doing reels, or is it carousels now? Do I need to do more outreach? Is it my website?

One hour, with your own site open in front of you, to find out whether it’s your website. Proof, not guesswork.

If it is, you’ll have already started fixing it yourself. If it isn’t, you’ll still have made a few improvements, but more importantly, you can cross it off your list.

Either way, you get to move on.

Book me in

This is for you if:

  • You sell your skills or expertise
  • You’re a bit scared to touch your website in case you break it
  • You’re tired of other people being in charge of where your business shows up (especially social media)
  • You don’t think of yourself as technical
  • But not if you’re just starting out, or don’t have your own website yet. You want it to just work, or want someone else to do it for you, or if someone else holds your login.

We start with the easy answer:

Yes, it is YOUR website. Your tool, your extra member of staff, your wing-woman. How you use it is up to you, but it’s yours, and that can feel terrifying and liberating at the same time. This is where your ‘website hat’ (or other accessory of choice) comes in, because it gives you permission to be good at this. (And remember, anything we change in the session, you can undo.)

What you’ll need:

  • Your website login details (where to log in, username and password)
  • A hat (or a scarf, or your fanciest earrings or necklace)

I was concerned about my lack of tech knowledge – that Jules would use terms I don’t know and I’d be embarrassed to say. This worry didn’t come true. Jules has a great knack for explaining a term or bit of kit without it feeling in any way patronising.

Save my seat

Then we run three tests:

Your visitors.

They’re telling you more than you think. You’re in charge of your site, but it’s for them. We’ll look at who’s arriving, then make one small change together to send more of your warm people there.

Your favourite thing

Your enquiries.

How easy is it for someone to hire you? We’ll find out, then make one small change to make it easier.

What you’ll walk away with:

  • Your visitors, not the usual how many and where they come from, but what they mean
  • Your social media pointing to the right thing
  • A clear look at whether your site sells the thing you most want to sell
  • One change made to how easily people can hire you
  • A clearer answer to the question: is it your website?

A few doubts, answered

Then you’re exactly who this is for. Everything gets explained in plain words, and nobody’s asked to know anything in advance.

Tell me when you book and I’ll come prepared for yours.

No, this one’s live only, because the point is doing it together. If something comes up, let me know before the 19th and I’ll refund your £7. Everyone who books gets a short written recap of the three tests afterwards.

No. Sometimes the answer is that it isn’t your website, and that’s a good evening too.

Sorry, lovely but you’re not going to get much out of the evening.  But do get in touch if you’d like any help.

Then let’s have a chat to see if I can untangle things further. Or if you’re no clearer by the end, I’ll refund your £7.

Thursday 19th November 7–8pm (UK time), online, £7.

I’ll get my hat ready!

I’m Jules

I’ve designed websites for founders and freelancers (especially creative ones) for seven years, but recently I turned down three website enquiries because a new site wasn’t going to solve things.

That’s why I’m not just a web designer. I’m a thinking partner and co-creator: together we find what’s load-bearing in your business, and secure it. Then everything else is gloriously inessential.

Questions? Drop me a line.
