A monthly moan for people who are sick of pretending it’s all fine.

You know the one. That thing about your business that’s been sitting on your chest all month like a cat that won’t shift. The client who’s doing your head in. The invoice that’s over a month late. The launch that landed with a thud and a tumbleweed. The thing you can’t say to your partner (because they’ll try to fix it) and you definitely can’t post about!

That’s what this is for.

A room (sometimes real, sometimes virtual) full of people running their own thing, finally saying the quiet part out loud.

How it works

You moan. Then you get asked one question: do you want input?

Say yes, and the collective brains in the room have a proper go at your problem. Say no, and we move straight on. No offence, no wounded egos, no Kevin-from-accounts piping up with advice nobody asked for. Unsolicited advice is banned. Not discouraged. Banned. That’s the whole point of the room.

And there’s a buddy system for us introverts and shy ‘uns!

It runs two ways

Sometimes it’s live at The Moth and Moon in Falmouth — real ale, real faces, home in time for tea, the kind where you stay on for another and accidentally make a friend on the walk back to the car. Ten seats, and they go.

And sometimes it’s online — because most of you don’t live down the road from me, and you shouldn’t have to miss out for it. Same rules, same honesty, same ban on advice-nobody-asked-for. Same room. Just from your own sofa, your own comfies, your own kettle.

Who’s it for? Solopreneurs, freelancers, creatives — anyone running the whole show themselves who’d rather talk honestly about the hard bits than be told to hustle harder. You don’t even have to moan. Sometimes witnessing someone else’s is the exact medicine you came for.

Want in?

Whether it lands in your calendar as a pub in Falmouth or a link to your sofa, this is how you hear about it first — and how you get your moan slot before the local lot nab the seats.

Full disclosure, because I don’t do sneaky: I’m Jules. I run a business helping founders untangle theirs. This is not that. No pitch. No handouts. No business cards unless you actually ask. I built this because I wanted it to exist and couldn’t find one anywhere.

See you at the pub. Or on the sofa.
