Here’s how it works:

• If you’ve got a moan to share, message me beforehand or find me at the start, and I’ll make sure you get a slot.
• After your moan, you get asked one question: do you want input? If yes, the collective brains in the room see what we can scrape together. If no, we move on, no offence taken. Unsolicited advice is absolutely not allowed.
• If the thought of moaning to a whole room of strangers makes you want to hide under the table, there’s a buddy system — so you can swap moans with just one other person instead.
• At the end, everyone gets the opportunity to share the best thing that’s happened to you this month. So we all leave on a good note, rather than trooping home flatter than we arrived

Who it’s for:

Solopreneurs, freelancers, creatives, small business owners — anyone running their own thing who’d rather talk honestly about the hard bits than listen to a motivational speaker. Introverts very welcome. You don’t have to moan if you don’t want to; sometimes, witnessing other people’s moans is its own kind of useful.

I’m Jules, and I’m all about transparency, so I just wanted to mention that I created this because I wanted it to exist and couldn’t find one. I do run a business helping creatives and founders untangle theirs — but this isn’t about that. No pitch, no hand-outs, no business cards unless you ask. Just me and my moan.
